Overview
A more leisurely 2 day tour by road from Marsa Alam to Luxor to explore the real Upper Egypt sites in Luxor ( Old Ancient Capital of Thebes). You will have the opportunity to explore all of the world renowned sites on both East and West banks of the River Nile, along with free leisure time to enjoy in the city of Luxor.
What to expect:
Pick up from your Hotel in Marsa Alam by your your tour manager from Mody Egypt Tours and drive in a Private air conditioned vehicle to Luxor where you will be met and accompanied by our expert Egyptologist Tour Guide to visit the magnificent Karnak Temple the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The Most Sacred of Places’. The Temple or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great ‘Hypostyle Hall’ is an incredible forest of giant pillars.
Then visit Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals that was dedicated to the God Amon.
Free time in Luxor with an optional evening tour to attend the fabulous and spectacular Sound and Light Show at Karnak temple in Luxor, and an optional tour of Luxor City and Market. Enjoyable overnight stay in Luxor. Lunch is included.

After Breakfast at your hotel in Luxor, you will be escorted to enjoy an informative and historical trip to the West Bank of the Nile River in Luxor to visit the two enormous and impressive Colossi of Memnon the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III then a journey into ancient Egyptian history at the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent Tombs were discovered including the famous boy King Tutankhamun. These Tombs were carved deep into the desert rock,richly decorated and filled with treasures from the afterlife of the Pharaohs and include a visit 3 Tombs.
Then you will continue your tour to Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive Temple was dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut the only female Pharaoh, rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs. Lunch en route included, free time with
Optional Tour: Banana Island by Felucca ride on the Nile River and then driven back from Luxor to your hotel in Marsa Alam.
